Sisalkraft 40 Breather is recommended for use as a vapour permeable sheathing membrane which is water resistant and water repellent. It is used as a weatherproofing layer behind exterior cladding to provide an extra barrier.
The product meets Class 2 BS 4016: 1997 - Flexible building membranes breather type.
Construction
Sisalkraft 40 Breather is processed from a kraft paper pulp impregnated with water repellent chemicals. The material has a matt blue surface both sides with smooth texture.

WATER VAPOUR WATER
Water penetration tests to BS 4016: 1997 exceed requirements of 24 hours without leakage. Vapour resistance is 0.26 MNs/g tested to BS 3177.
HEAT
Sisalkraft 40 Breather will not be affected by extremes of temperature during installation and use -10°C to 80°C.
STRENGTH
Tear resistance is 13-14N BS 4016 Annex C
Nominal weight is 130 g/m2 Nominal caliper is 0.24mm
